GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Epoxy.com Product #201 Epoxy Oil Stop Primer - For Oil Saturated Concrete is a two component, epoxy-amine undercoating
designed to be compatible with petroleum based oil and greases. In many instances
petroleum can penetrate the surface of concrete floors to the extent that the oil may not
be removed by surface cleaning. If untreated, this oil may migrate back to the surface to
cause a delamination.

penetrating deeply to tie up and lock in contamination leaving a clean surface for
application of epoxy flooring and coating resins.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Concrete should be thoroughly degreased and solvent washed.
Create a profile with a wire brush, scarifying, or abrasive blast. As much of the oil
should be removed as possible. Surface must be sound. All loose or soft concrete must be
removed.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Temperature of Epoxy.com Product #201 Epoxy Oil Stop Primer - For Oil Saturated Concrete must be 60°F or above at time of
mixing. Stir each component separately before blending. Pour Part A into a clean container
and add Part B Stir for three minutes with a low speed electric drill motor equipped
with a mixing paddle. Immediately begin application.
APPLICATION
Epoxy.com Product #201 Epoxy Oil Stop Primer - For Oil Saturated Concrete can be applied with brush, or 3/8" nap roller.
Apply Epoxy.com Product #201 Epoxy Oil Stop Primer at a rate of 200-320 SF per
gallon. Be sure to install your next coat within 24 hours. If for some
reason that is not possible be sure to sand off all shine and damp wipe with
xylene before recoating.

DRY TIME
Epoxy.com Product #201 Epoxy Oil Stop Primer - For Oil Saturated Concrete will normally be ready to recoat in 8-10
hours. Top-coating before 8 hours can cause some slight bleeding of the Epoxy.com Product #201 Epoxy Oil Stop Primer into
the topcoat. For best results 16-24 hours should be given.
LIMITATIONS
Before application of Epoxy.com Product #201 Epoxy Oil Stop Primer - For Oil Saturated Concrete, New concrete should be at least 28 days old. Temperature of
substrate must be between 50°F and 90°F. DO NOT thin. Be sure to install
your next coat within 24 hours. If for some reason that is not possible be

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause eye and skin
irritation. If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical help. Use safety glasses
with side shields and wear protective rubber gloves.
CLEANING
All tools and equipment should be cleaned before the system
gels. Use MEK, Acetone, or any lacquer solvent.
